Metalcraft & Mechanical Policies

RETURNED MERCHANDISE – Authorization to return merchandise must be obtained within 30 days of purchase. All returns must be received within 2 weeks. To receive credit, the product must be unused. Custom built driveshafts cannot be returned, unless the mistake was made by our company for which we will take responsibility.

Returns by customers for no fault of the company will be charged a 25% restocking fee and freight charges that were prepaid. Customers are responsible for inbound shipping.

DRIVESHAFT ERRORS

Company Responsibility – If we fail to build a driveshaft to the specifications supplied to us, we will correct the problem and pay both inbound and return freight.

Customer Responsibility – If the customer makes a mistake in the specifications of a driveshaft, a correction can be made with a 25% discount off our labor rate and parts. Returned shipping will be the responsibility of the customer.

INSTALLATION – The customer is responsible for determining the appropriate product used on their vehicles. Our company is not responsible for determining the use of any product. Metalcraft & Mechanical Service has no control over products installed by customer.

Warranty Information

Indemnification Policy

Covered by Warranty

· Material and workmanship for products used for their proper application

· All welds are warranted not to break for the life of the driveshaft

Not Covered by Warranty

· This warranty does not apply to damage of failure resulting from:

· Improper or incorrect installation

· Misuse, abuse or Neglect

· Modification or alteration of the Product

· Use in racing, competition, off-road,
high-performance application unless
expressly agreed to in writing

· Normal wear and tear

· Modifications affecting driveline angles,
suspension geometry, drivetrain output

· Failure caused by other drivetrain
components

· Failure of U-joints and weld yokes due to
excessive joint angles

· Modified 4 x 4 driveshafts due to high
angles

· U-joint breakage and resulting damage
for reasons beyond our control, such as:
excessive U-joint angles, improper U-joint
series, misapplications, improper
maintenance, damage by attached
components or yokes, underrated joint
application, damage from transmission or
differential failures

· Modifications made by other companies
will void the warranty

· Labor to remove and replace the
driveshaft from the vehicle

· Cost of towing

CANCELLATION POLICY

· No driveshaft order can be cancelled after it has been built. If for any reason the customer wants to cancel their driveshaft order, it must be done before it is fabricated. Once driveshafts are fabricated, orders cannot be cancelled and no refunds will be issued.

· SPECIAL ORDER items cannot be cancelled
